Twitter placed a sharing restriction on tweet made by Outkick founder Clay Travis: Clay Travis, the founder of the sports media outlet Outkick, tweeted about mask-wearing for the prevention of COVID-19. "The data is quite clear," he said. "Masks do virtually nothing to impact covid. They are cosmetic theater for the fearful who don't look at the data. Continuing to argue they do is anti-science. ..." Twitter placed a warning label over the tweet that calls it "Misleading," and encourages users to "Learn about the preventative measures health officials recommend to reduce the risk of COVID-19 infection." The platform also put a sharing restriction on his tweet preventing users from commenting on, liking, retweeting or sharing the tweet. Users can only quote tweet Travis's tweet.
